L88 Explosion Bloomington Gold
The 2018 Bloomington Gold Corvette show had an L88 Explosion!
Previously in 1988, 1998, and 2008, Bloomington Gold featured anniversary displays of L88 Corvettes in their Special Collection. As a matter of fact, I was in attendance at all three of these previous shows. So, I can personally tell you that these are very special displays. All three years of L88 Corvette production were featured in the display: 1967, 1968, 1969.
If you are in the Chicago area the weekend of November 17-18, 2018, you need to go to the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals, MCACN, to see more L88 Corvettes that are in my display. Here is my dedicated MCACN page and yes, there are photos there as well.
My display contains L88 Corvettes each and every year, plus, it contains some very unique Corvettes that you won’t see anywhere else. So you don’t have to wait another ten years to see L88 Corvettes in person. All you have to do is go to the annual MCACN show every year, and you can get your fill of L88s every November! 2028 is a long time to wait to see more L88 Corvettes. See them every year at MCACN!
The L88 Corvette is the most desirable model from 1967-1969 and as of date, they are the most valuable Corvettes ever built from the factory.
Why are the L88 Corvettes so valuable? Find out in my publications!
There were 12 1967 L88 Corvettes, 10 1968 L88 Corvettes, and approximately 25 1969 L88 Corvettes on display at the 2018 show. Yes, there were more produced, but experiencing the efforts that the current owners went through to get their Corvettes to the show and to place them on display is exemplary!
For 2018, it was held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the weekend of Jun 21-23, 2018. 2018 was also the 50th Anniversary of the introduction of the Mako Shark II inspired 1968 Corvette, which is itself, a very unique model year.
Several of the L88 Corvettes featured in my book were in the Special Collection. If you are an L88 Corvette enthusiast or a 1968 Corvette enthusiast, I would suggest that you keep checking my L88 Corvette site, as 10 years down the road is a long time from now. The only guarantees in life are taxes and death, and there might not be another collection like these L88 Corvette collections ever again.
My L88 Corvette book is still available at my eBay store where you can shop and purchase as a Guest. My text book documents the development and motorsport history of the L88 Corvette. My first three issues of my Corvette Legends Magazine cover the development of the factory produced 1967 L88 Corvettes and their factory predecessors.
At this point in time, these are the only publications that are available specifically on the L88 Corvettes.
So get your copies while they are available.
